Shari Huang

Senior Associate

LLB (Hons) – Singapore Management University

Shari graduated from Singapore Management University’s Yong Pung How School of Law with a Bachelor of Laws (cum laude) in 2020 and was called to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2021.

Having trained for several years under one of Singapore’s leading family law practitioners, Shari developed a strong interest in matrimonial law and gained extensive experience advising and representing clients in complex and fast-paced matrimonial disputes before all levels of the Family Justice Courts. Her cases often involve significant assets, intricate child-related issues, and cross-border matters. Additionally, Shari has experience in family violence and harassment cases, where she has become deeply attuned to the mental and emotional challenges clients face. This sensitivity allows her to approach each matter with both conscientiousness and empathy.

In addition to her family law expertise, Shari has experience in civil and commercial litigation, assisting lead counsel in advancing and defending claims before the State Courts and the Supreme Court. Her work has involved cases relating to breach of contract, breach of trust, breach of duties of care, shareholders’ and directors’ disputes, and torts. She has also been involved in representing clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation and negotiation, to safeguard their interests.

What it means to have Shari fight for you.

To have Shari fight for you is to have a lawyer in your corner who understands that legal disputes are rarely confined to legal issues alone. Trained under one of Singapore’s most respected family lawyers, Shari has experience acting on highly contentious matters, which at times involve cross-border issues, parallel actions in multiple jurisdictions, complex financial structures and various simultaneous filings.

Throughout, Shari is recognised for her diligence, responsiveness, and integrity. She takes time to understand how emotional pressure affects judgment, while crafting strategies that work for each client’s unique circumstances, rather than applying a fixed template to every matter. Shari brings disciplined legal thinking to every dispute while remaining alert to the very real long-term consequences that follow each decision, whether emotional, relational or financial.

On top of handling plain vanilla divorce matters or shareholder disputes, Shari’s experience in both commercial litigation and family litigation places her in prime position to also handle matters where family relations intersect with shareholder rights, business interests, and minority oppression concerns.

Clients value Shari’s practical assessment of what to expect at each stage. She is not one to soften difficult realities. This directness allows clients to understand their situation and plan ahead, whether for themselves, their families, or their businesses; investing in efforts that guarantee the best outcome for their unique circumstances.
